Urtica dioica, native to western Asia and Africa, is a perennial herb that today has spread almost all over the world, at least we can find it in regions with a temperate climate. Always because of his diuretic properties, the dioecious Urtica is also used in case of urinary tract infections or kidney stones because it washes out the urine.

It is advisable not to take Urtica dioica if you already know that you are hypersensitive towards some of its components, you can risk excessive fluid retention caused by impaired kidney and / or heart function.

Also those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is the case that he stays away from this plant at least momentarily, the same goes for those under 12 years old. The nettle it interacts negatively with some drugs, with diuretics, for example, with hypoglycemic agents, with some sedatives and with hypotensives.
