American artist Sharalee Armitage Howard loves books. So when her family had to cut down the tree that was on the side of her house because he was sick, she decided to give new life to what was left of the centennial trunk and create a free community library.

Since Armitage shared her project on Facebook, her post has been shared over 30,000 times, and Reddit users upvoted her 100,000 times. Currently, there are more than 75,000 free libraries registered in the Little Free Library project.
