For those who like to be close to nature, birds are very welcome on the patio. They pollinate the flowers, sing all day long, and further embellish the garden landscape. If you want to attract birds, check out these tips on what you can do.

1. Drinkers and feeders

Birds will be attracted to your garden if you offer them food and water. To do this, hang feeders with various seeds in the garden, as well as water fountains.

Choose seeds that birds like to eat, such as millet seeds, sunflower seeds, bird seeds, which you can buy at farm stores.

In addition to the seeds, you can also offer sweet and soft fruits like bananas, melons, and plantains. It will create a habitat for the birds, with part of what they already consume in the wild.

2. Keep your garden in bloom

Birds fly from one green area to another. Therefore, more than food and water, you should keep your garden well cared for, with abundant vegetation and flowers, creating an attractive and aromatic environment for the animals to feel comfortable.

In addition to choosing beautiful and fragrant plants, you can also choose species with fruits for birds to eat. So at fruiting time, you won't even have to supply the feeders. You can plant araçá, grapes, jabuticabas, blackberries and pitangas, for example.

3. Build nests

Birds build their nests on their own to have a place to shelter and rest. But, in the middle of the big cities, it is more difficult to find the raw material for construction and also a safe place.

You can build artificial nests in your yard for the birds to adopt as their home. If you don't know how to do it, you can also buy nests and prefab houses. The birds themselves are responsible for decorating and making the space more comfortable.

4. Offer sand

Birds regularly like to bathe in sand and eat a few grains to help cleanse their bodies. Then you can offer some clean sand on your patio, which should be left in the sun and turned over from time to time.

5. Don't use pesticides on plants.

Remember also that if you want beautiful and healthy birds on your plants, you cannot give them poison. Keep your garden healthy, only using natural products for maintenance.
